Norine's News!
Here is the latest on my new release and labor of love, Now & Zen.
Ambient soul pop with elements of hip hop, jazz and punk mix it up and flow on
this spirited ascension.
I am one of 19 artists selected to be on the 2003 Outmusic CD sampler in NYC
with my song "J'en Suis Desolee"! In April I was informed my song was
one of 68 finalist works being considered so I am excited and honored to be
chosen! Check my
website for all the details i.e. who else is going to be on the disc and
where you can pick it up, how soon etc.
WOW!!! Norine Braun and the Mood Swings CD a 2003 KWEEVAK.COM
CD of The Year winner! The 2003 "CD of the Year Awards" were presented
to the Top-50 CDs sent to the website in the 2002 calendar year. The winners
were chosen by a select panel consisting of the staff and associates of the
Kweevak.com website. In the opinion of the judges these CDs represented the best
submissions received for the year in terms of musical quality, production and
overall theme! This year’s winners were revealed on August 25 during an
exclusive announcement on the worldwide Kweevak.com Radio Show
I am also very proud to be the inaugural artist featured in the artist spotlight
in the premiere newsletter of newsongsforpeace.org
The site is growing and many songwriters are coming on board to donate songs for

The new release, Now & Zen has been received exceedingly well in Canada
on the college and public radio stations. I have been in rotation on most if not
all and charting on a few too. Places like Sydney NS, Vancouver, Prince
George,Trois Rivieres, Toronto, Guelph, Sackville NB, Shediac, and Nelson have
been playing the new tunes alot. So if you live in a university town or have a
coop station call your station and request a tune from Now & Zen! CBC has
been supportive as usual especially the program NXNW. I have begun branching out
to the states now and my past supporters (and some new ones too) have continued

Society's Rainbow World Radio in Baton Rouge Louisiana, After Hours
Houston,Texas, Radio catskill Jeffersonville NY,Her Infinite Variety in Madison
WI and Laney Goodman from WOMENONAIR which is played on 82 npr stations to name
some more. The song Intimate Hour will be on a Motorbaby compilation CD promoted
by Indiego and distributed to 300 US college radio stations this fall.
